The Proposed and Recommended County Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 (July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009) is now available for review and downloading in PDF format.  Please refer to the Resources tab at the top of this page, then Proposed and Recommended County Operating Budget link for access to this document.

The Washington County Board of Supervisors held its Calendar Year 2008 Annual Meeting on January 8, 2008.  The Board re-elected Supervisor Kenneth O. Reynolds (C-01 "Madison" Election District) Chairman for 2008 and Supervisor Jack R. McCrady, Jr.  (E-01 "Taylor" Election District) as Vice-Chairman. The Board also established/re-established and made appointments to various boards, authorities, commission, committees and advisory boards for 2008 at this meeting. The County Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 (July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2008) was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on June 12, 2007 and is now available for viewing and download as a PDF document by clicking here.

The Leo "Muscles" Sholes Memorial Park and Pool near Glade Spring opens its 2008 season on March 1 with the pool opening weekends beginning June 1 through June 8 then weekdays through Labor Day. Please refer to the County Department of Recreation webpage for additional information concerning park hours and operations.
