Washington County Board of Supervisors: Board Documents

The Board of Supervisors annually adopts By-laws, General Policies and Operating Procedures for the calendar year at its first January meeting. The By-laws prescribe rules of conduct and procedure for the Board of Supervisors during meetings of the Board, as well as matters pertaining to preparation of Board Meeting Agendas, Board Minutes, duties and responsiblities of Board officers and administrative officials, and other matters. The Board's General Policies set out various rules and procedures specific to County operations not otherwise prescribed under Virginia law, and the Operating Procedures set out the official County holidays and schedule of Board meetings pertaining to the preparation of the County Operating Budget.
